The bible says that we are to give thanks
in everything. This is not to be confused with a saying that I heard "for" everything give thanks. What this means is that
in the midst of trials, in the midst of attack, when we feel as if the enemy is coming in like a flood, right there, at that
moment we are not to give in to the pressure of the devil, but we are to turn the tables on him and put the pressure back
on the devil. How can you do this? Simply lift your hands to the Lord and begin to just love on God. Praise is a powerful weapon for spiritual warfare that silences the enemy. From the lips of children
and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. (Psalm 8:2)
When we praise God, miracles happen. Praise shows that we honor and
respect God. Praising the Lord is a humbling experience, which can involve singing, lifting of hands to God and weeping.
Praise is proclaiming the perfection and the goodness of God. David understood the importance of praise for he said, "I
will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the LORD more than an ox, more than
a bull with its horns and hoofs" (Psalm 69:30-31 NIV).
The writer of Hebrews explained that praise is a sacrifice as the
"fruit of our lips". "Therefore
by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." Hebrews 13:15-16 What does it mean to offer a sacrifice of praise? Well, when your body is racked with pain, praise
God for your healing. When bills are do and there is no money is coming from, praise God that He shall supply all your needs.
When you feel as if you don’t have a friend in the world, praise God for He said He would never leave you or forsake
you. When you do this I guarantee the forces of hell that are trying to overtake you will take notice and move back, and best
of all God will take notice and move forward. Halleluiah, Glory to Jesus!!!
So praise Him for His mighty acts.
Praise Him for His Word that will never fail. Praise Him for the work that He is constantly doing in you. Praise Him because
He is the author and the finisher of your faith. Praise Him for you are an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ. Praise
Him because He has seated you with Jesus in the Heavenly realms. Praise Him now that He has made you more than a conqueror
in Christ Jesus. Praise Him for He is your healer. Praise Him for He is your sanctifier. Praise Him for He is your peace.
Praise Him for He is your provider. Praise Him for He is your Shepherd. Praise Him for He is your strength!!! Sing to Him, love on Him for your salvation. Praise Him for His Holy Spirit that lives in you.
And as you praise Him the very atmosphere
around you will begin to change because you have chosen to focus on the Lord instead of your problem. Instead of being fueled
by the enemy and his despair you will be energized with faith. Exalt the Lord by faith, no matter what you see and feel. Make
praise a part of your daily life and you will never ever be the same!!!
God Bless you and remember to praise God in everything.
